Collective agreement negotiations with HLM INTERNATIONAL KOMPOZİT PANEL SAN. VE TİC. LTD. ŞTİ. which is affliated to our union’s İzmir branch, started on 16 January 2020, but an agreement could not be reached. Thus, our union’s members went on strike, which is their constitutional right, on 2 October 2020. Following negotiations, an agreement was reached between our union and HLM employer on 19 November 2020. HLM workers won as a result of their taking a firm line for 49 days.
The first term collective agreement to be effective between 19 November 2021 and 31 December 2022.
