The signing ceremony of the first term collective agreement for AERO Rüzgar Endüstrisi A.Ş., at which our Izmir Branch was organized in 2022, was held on 15 August 2022. The ceremony at our union’s head office in İstanbul was attended by our union’s President Alaaddin Sarı, General Secretary İhsan Malkoç, Vice President and Head of Collective Agreement Department Ziya Ünal, Head of Civil Department Ali Öztürk, Head of Education Press and Publication Department Salih Gür, Collective Agreement and Education Department Director Üzeyir Ataman, İzmir Branch Chair Yusuf Ziya Sarı, Atty. Tolga Demirel, Aero Rüzgar union representatives and General Manager Alper Kalaycı, Dr. Atty. Ahmet Koyuncu and Administrative Affairs Director Tuba Yazıcı from the employer’s side.
Our union’s President Alaaddin Sarı started his speech by talking about the importance of AERO as a global enterprise and the problems in the world and stated that the working class has faced great difficulties especially since the 2000s until today. He said that there are huge problems in our country in terms of organizing and union membership and that the success of union organizing in AERO and the signing of a collective agreement has a great meaning today. Emphasizing that both the union and the employer have taken positive steps to conclude the collective agreement with an agreement and to make work peace permanent, he mentioned that the peaceful attitude of the employer as well as the determined stance of Aero workers in union organization had a direct impact on the conclusion of the collective bargaining with an agreement. Wishing that this collective agreement, we have signed the first term, will be the pioneer and guide for the contracts in the coming years; wished the contract to be beneficial to our fellow workers and the enterprise.
Alper Kalaycı, General Manager of AERO Rüzgar Endüstrisi A.Ş., emphasized that it is of great value that a positive result has been reached through relations maintained in mutual respect and cooperation. He stated that they have experienced difficulties from time to time because they work in a multinational organization, but that this situation has also had positive effects. He stated that they are in favor of improving the union-employer dialogue that emerged during the collective bargaining process and that they will make efforts in this direction. Emphasizing that they have no other goal but to move forward by making efficient and quality production in open and transparent relations based on mutual trust, he wished the collective bargaining agreement to be beneficial for the enterprise and workers.
