As an agreement could not be reached on collective bargaining negotiations with HLM International Kompozit Panel San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti., affiliated to İzmir Branch of our union, a strike began at workplace on 02.10.2020 in accordance with the strike decision taken earlier. Our members working at HLM plant, together with our head office executives and branch managers, hung the banner “STRIKE AT THIS WORKPLACE” on the wall of the plant.
HLM workers just want to maintain decent living conditions under today’s difficult conditions and to breathe a little. We call on HLM employer to take steps to compromise as earliest as possible, respecting the demands of the workers, and to come to the table with our union to resolve the dispute.
