On 27 October 2020, our international parent organizations IndustriALL Global Union and IndustriAll European Trade Union held a consultative meeting for member unions in Turkey.

Our union’s Collective Agreement and Education Director Üzeyir Ataman and International Relations Officer Cemal Hoşver attended the meeting held by teleconference. At the meeting IndustriALL Global Union General Secretary Valter Sanches, IndustriALL Global Union Assistant General Secretary Kemal Özkan, IndustriAll European Trade Union General Secretary Luc Triangle, IndustriAll European Trade Union Assistant General Secretary Isabelle Barthes, IndustriAll European Trade Union Assistant General Secretary Judith Kirton-Darling, expressed their views on policies and activities related to Covid-19, initiatives taken by international organizations, European Recovery Plan and shared up-to-date information about the upcoming congresses of IndustriALL Global Union and IndustriAll European Union.
Trade union representatives from different confederations in Turkey attended the meeting and made evaluations about the situations in sectors, trade union activities, collective agreement processes and solution suggestions in Covid-19 period. Moreover, Labor Economics and Industrial Relations Specialist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kuvvet Lordoğlu stated his views on economic, social and trade union situation in Turkey in Covid-19 period, government policies and the impacts of industrial relations and workers’ rights.
