On 14-15 September 2021, the third Congress of our international parent organization IndustriALL Global Union, which is held every four years, was conducted via teleconference in a digital format due to Covid-19 pandemic. Our union’s president Alaaddin Sarı attended the congress with 692 registered delegates, 444 unions and 300 guests representing 11,378,000 votes.
The statutes changes were put to the vote and then voting results were shared with affiliates. By digital voting Jörg Hofmann was re-elected as the president of IndustriALL Global Union, Atle Høie was elected as the General Secretary, Kemal Özkan, Christine Olivier and Kan Matsuzaki were elected as Assistant General Secretaries in the leadership team for the 2021-2025 term.
