On 28 April 2022, collective agreement negotiations with KİPLAS Employers’ Union for SEOIL PLASTİK ÜR. SAN. TİC. LTD. ŞTİ. which is affliated to our union’s Kocaeli branch, started on 8 December 2021, ends with deal to be effective between 1 January 2022 and 31 December 2023. Seoil Plastik workers were organized in our union in 2019 and reached their first term collective agreement in 2020 after the 11-day strike.
Moreover, the wages and social rights of our members and provisions regarding job security have been improved substantially by 2nd term collective agreement. The assurance that no hired workers can be employed in the workplace with employment contract established by private employment agencies have also been maintained. A clause was added to the agreement that protects gender equality between men and women workers in the workplace and guarantees the principle of equal pay for equal work for equivalent jobs.
